Nursing Care
Services prescibed by and under the direction of Physicians for individuals:
- Recovering from major surgery
- Having chronic/acute medical conditions
- Needing specific treatments, procedures or monitoring services
Services are provided by a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Respite Care
Time off for family members and caregivers who care for someone who is ill, injured or frail. Home and client care performed by a Certified Nurse Assistant or Personal Care Assistant.
Personal Care
For individuals who have had a stroke, heart problems, serious surgery or are recoving from a serious illness.
Services are provided by a Certified Nurse Assistant or a Personal Care Assistant.
Basic Personal Services may include:
- Preparing a special diet & feeding assistance
- Monitoring food & fluid intake
- Assisting with bathing, dressing, hair care & grooming
- Toileting
- Assisting with ambulation
Higher Level Of Personal Care
Additional personal care services provided for individuals who require intensive rehabilitative therapy or are very ill.
Services are provided by an assigned Certified Nurse Assistant, RN or LPN and may include:
- Assisting with exercise and rehabilitation assistance
- Assisting with emptying and caring for catheter or ostomy bags
- Assisting with special assistive devises such as canes, walkers, wheelchairs, artificial limbs.
- Taking vitals
Companion/Escort/Sitter/Light Housekeeping
Services are provided for individuals recovering from minor illnesses, or requiring minimal assistance to ensure safety at home.
Services are provided by a Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nurse's Assistant and may include:
- Shopping, meal planning, preperation and serving
- Laundry & light house keeping
- Observing, monitoring & reporting a client's condition
- Maintaining a safe & secure environment
- Providing activities to increase interest
- Prescription reminders
- Escorting to appointments, shopping, running errands, etc.
